Jay, the on duty manager, went out of his way to accommodate my stay. First class customer service from reception/check-in and even helped with convenient parking for the boat trailer. The overall facility and rooms have been recently upgraded and the inn was pleasantly well kept! Jay gave me a tour of the walk out skiing access to the gondola that’ll get you to all the lifts at Steamboat which is a huge advantage during the winter skiing season. Mid week rental was one of the cheapest prices in town and a great value for the money when compared to other hotels that are more expensive. Kudos to the entire team at the Ptarmigan Inn as your comfort and satisfaction are their number one priority the moment you step through the entrance! Very refreshing to experience such a high level of professional customer service in this day and age!

The modern, eco-conscious design created a cozy yet upscale feel, and the access to quality gear rentals and fitness facilities made it easy to fully embrace the Steamboat lifestyle.

Located near Steamboat gondola, lots of dining choices within waking distance. Quieter than downtown. Friendly and helpful staff. Was easy to extend our stay through the front desk.

The staff and location can't be beat! The rooms were clean and had modern decorative updates. And the public spaces were relaxing and communal. Also--super dog friendly. Lots of happy pups and happy families. I wish more hotels had bunk bed options.
